I couldn’t live without my interdental brushes, they make a massive difference to your dental hygiene, I much prefer these over dental floss! I get a much deeper clean with the dental brushes, especially when you use the X technique (go to how to use for more information). I find flossing very fiddly and struggle to get to my back teeth.
The dental brushes are available in 3 different sizes, 0, 1 and 2. O being the smallest. If you have really small gaps between your teeth, floss maybe a better option. The bigger gaps you have in your teeth the bigger size you will need. You should not need to apply too much pressure and the brush should fit comfortably between the gaps. If you are unsure of what size to use speak to your dentist.
It’s quite normal for your gums to bleed when you first start using the the dental brushes, especially if you are pregnant when gums are very sensitive. With your new improved dental routine the bleeding should become less frequent and stop.
